dig deeper into our deadstock cotton

Is deadstock good quality?

We have extremely strict standards, and only work with the highest quality fabrics (95% cotton, 5% elastane).

If you order our underwear in different colours, you may notice a slight difference in the feel of them, but the high-quality remains the same.

This is because each colour is made from a different batch of fabric, meaning they're limited edition and just as unique as you are :)

Where does the deadstock come from?

The trouble with deadstock is it's very difficult to trace.

Unlike our Organic Cotton, which has been traced and audited from farm to factory, our deadstock is sourced from secondary markets with it's history much unknown.

We're proud to have upcycled over 3,000kg of deadstock cotton to date, but moving forward we are consciously moving towards more traceable fabrice.

How to care for deadstock cotton?

Keeping clothes in circulation for longer is one of the best ways to reduce their environmental impact.

To take best care of your deadstock garments, we recommend:

  • Machine wash at 30 degrees on a gentle cycle
  • Only wash with similar colours
  • Hang or lie products flat to dry naturally instead of using a tumble dryer
How much of our product range is made from deadstock cotton?

In 2021 & 2022, 99% of our products were made from deadstock cotton –everything aside from our socks which are made from Organic Cotton & recycled materials.

However, we introduced our Organic Cotton range in 2023, and project that in 2023 Organic Cotton will make up 80%+ of our production.
